Yes Christina Wodtke thank you for sharing this! I added a link to it at the bottom of the article. I am totally with you on the visual alphabet — I’ve taught it in workshops, but then usually we move straight on to pictographs and ideographs. And I haven’t observed people are carefully referring to the shapes of the alphabet to create those icons — instead we do more of a “Bob Ross” thing where I draw a bunch of different options (like for people, buildings, ideas, etc) and they follow along with me. I also have people suggest concepts that come up in their daily work, and we practice that together. I am so on the same page with you. Thanks for dropping a note!
