Thank you Finney Kewa — I appreciate it! Good question about alternative providers — I’ve spoken to a lot of them because they tend to see a lot of patients who have complicated/unsolved health issues and who are not getting answers from the traditional health system. Holistic providers also tend to take more time with patients, and quite a few of them have reached out to me spontaneously to express excitement about Pictal. I was at first thinking that they could be potential customers, but after talking with many of them, I now think they might be more like champions/advocates for this way of doing things. And potentially a source of referrals.
But when it comes to clinical value — yes I think that this could potentially be helpful for primary care, and maybe even more so for specialty doctors who are trying to help diagnose patients with complicated and rare health issues. I have gotten positive feedback on this process from various specialists like gastroenterology, neurology, rheumatology, etc. However I have been a bit less focused on providers as an overall customer group right now, since many of them work within large health systems and thus do not have the ability to choose which software products they use. It’s a complicated web. Thank you for your note!
